Why not make up a bunch, keep them together on a book ring, and have the whole collection close at hand where you usually work or hang out at home for easy access when you need a colourful jolt of inspiration?

I’ve been toying with the idea for months and never realized there are a few other creatives making up artful inspiration on index cards. I love this activity because it really only takes a few minutes, and the ‘sky’s the limit’ as far as what one can conjure up on that little blank 3 x 5 inch paper canvas!

This is a great idea, Carole Jane, and you’ve started us with one that really speaks to me. My wife occasionally posts little challenges to herself around the house — on the bathroom mirror, on the door to the garage — that I believe she calls affirmations. She tailors them to herself, but I can’t help but read them every time I see them, and sometimes they inspire me too!
